ATLANTA—The Georgia Meth Project will host a volunteer training session at Mighty 8th Air Force Museum in Pooler on Sept. 1 at 9 a.m. Executive Director Jim Langford and Program Manager Latrina Patrick will educate and equip Georgia families, students, law enforcement officers, former addicts and others with information and resources needed to be local ambassadors for the Georgia Meth Project in their communities. All volunteers must register with the program manager.
The goal of the Georgia Meth Project is to significantly reduce methamphetamine use in the state, and address the social and economic burden caused by Meth use in Georgia.
The Georgia Meth Project is a non-profit organization that implements a range of advertising and community action programs to reduce methamphetamine use in the state. Launched in 2010, the Georgia Meth Project leverages a proven model that combines extensive research with a hard-hitting, integrated media campaign. The Georgia Meth Project is affiliated with the Meth Project, a national non-profit organization headquartered in Palo Alto, Calif., aimed at significantly reducing first-time Meth use through public service messaging, public policy, and community outreach.
