The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Drug Suppression Unit has arrested five individuals and recovered two meth labs following two separate drug operations this week.

On Tuesday, ECSO investigators located a methamphetamine lab near the intersection of Brittingham and Archer roads in Effingham County.

Deputies arrested Brandon Smith, 25, of Rincon, and Johnathan Tebeau, 25, of Springfield, who have both been connected to that lab and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and trafficking methamphetamine.

Sheriff’s investigators with the assistance of Rincon Police investigators located another methamphetamine lab at a residence in the 400 block of Mclaws Road in Effingham County on Tuesday afternoon.

William Frank Davis, 23, of Guyton, and Dean Collum, 49, of Guyton, were both arrested in connection with that lab and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. Jessica Schultz, 25, of Port Wentworth, was arrested in connection with this investigation and charged with unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine.

This lab was discovered following a local pharmacy contacting the ECSO Drug Suppression Team in regards to an individual who was already on a “watch list” purchase of pseudoephedrine.

William Davis and Brandon Smith were both recently released from jail for recent methamphetamine charges.

All five individuals are currently being held in the Effingham County Jail.
