It’s back to the beginning musically speaking as the Youth Drama Team at Savannah Christian Church presents “Children of Eden.”

From Stephen Schwartz and John Caird of “Les Miserables” comes a joyous and inspirational musical that will entertain the entire family.

Schwartz — known for his musicals “Wicked,” Godspell,” and “Pippin” and for the Academy Award-winning songs in “Pocahontas” and “The Prince of Egypt” — once again turns to the Old Testament for “Children of Eden.”

The musical tells the stories from Genesis of Adam, Eve, Noah, and the Father who created them using a variety of techniques and musical styles: gospel, anthem, ballad, blues, and calypso. It offers a heartfelt, humorous examination of an age-old conflict as parents deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their children.
