Members of the Exchange Club put their money where their mouth is — loose change in a cup to contribute to the Empty Stocking Fund.
“All of us have loose change laying around the house, on the dresser, in the desk drawer, in a can in the closet, etc,” said Reggie Loper, chairman of the fund drive. “This is money that can make a big difference for the Empty Stocking Fund and will really not be missed by those of us who habitually leave the coins laying around. Members have also given bills and checks but we like the idea that a ‘Cup of Change’ can make a difference.”
The Club is suggesting to citizens who work in offices, businesses or just have a group of folks who would like to come together to make a difference for many citizens in the county. Loose change may be dropped off at the BB&T banks in Springfield and Rincon without being counted if the contributor does not want to count their change. The Exchange Club will see that the change is counted and put in the fund.
The time is getting short for citizens to participate in this important cause in the community. Contributions may be dropped off at BB&T and Citizens banks. Loose change should only be left at a BB&T Bank branch.
Remember, your change can make a difference.
