Raise a hand for hospital’s ‘Pink Glove Dance’ video

POSTED: October 17, 2011 6:40 p.m.

Effingham Hospital and Care Center employees, board members and volunteers have donned pink gloves and are showing off their original and crazy dance moves in hopes of being voted the best Pink Glove Dance video to support the fight against Breast Cancer.

Sponsored by Medline Industries Inc., the contest is an online nationwide competition to find the best Pink Glove Dance video. The top three winners will receive donations to a breast cancer charity of their choice.  The amounts of the donations are $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second place and $2,000 for third place.

Vote for Effingham Hospital by visiting www.pinkglovedance.com.  Click on “Watch the Contestant Videos” (you can sort by state with drop box). Select Effingham Hospital when presented with choices.  Watch the video and cast your vote by clicking on the “Like” button.  You must have a Facebook account to vote, and you must click on the “Like” button for it to count.

“Everyone involved in the Pink Glove Dance video had so much pleasure in showing a fun side of health care for a great cause,” said Effingham Hospital and Care Center CEO Norma Jean Morgan. “It was wonderful to know that just by dancing we were working to potentially raise a great amount of money for such a significant cause - breast cancer. There are few people who have not been touched in some way by breast cancer, and by creating this video we are doing one more thing to raise awareness and help breast cancer survivors, fighters and supporters receive the help they need and deserve.”

Voting ends Oct. 21.  Help Effingham win $10,000 for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
