The Effingham County Extension Office hosted a Certified Sitters training seminar for Cloverleaf 4-H’ers interested in earning extra money through babysitting.

The all-day workshop focused on ages and stages of child growth development, food and nutrition, along with kid-friendly activities.

A course in first aid techniques gave the kids a “hands-on” approach in an effort to sharpen their safety skills and think fast on their feet.

A big part of 4-H is engaging its members in team-building activities. The ability to work together doesn’t always come easy for some, so in an effort to promote team mentality, venues to do such are implemented regularly.

The first aid techniques involving CPR and the Heimlich maneuver, proved to be a great opportunity. The 4-H also offered its thanks to  Wanda McDuffie and Kevin Patterson for their dedication.
