Chamber preps for Holiday Classic

POSTED: October 28, 2013 5:42 p.m.

The Effingham Chamber of Commerce’s 19th annual Holiday Classic Business and Crafts Expo will be held Nov. 24 from noon-4 p.m. at Effingham County High School. Applications for vendor spaces are being accepted now and the entertainment schedule is being worked out.

Businesses from Effingham County along with artists and craftsmen will host exhibits of their products and services in the hallways of ECHS. The local 4-H Club is selling Thanksgiving meals for $9, and word is they usually sell out early. Make checks out to the Effingham 4-H when paying for the meal.

Santa will be on hand to let the kids get their photos taken on his lap. Free souvenir photos in special Christmas cards will be given to the kids. The day also will be filled with entertainment by local children and groups in addition to great holiday shopping and networking with local businesses. A wreath auction will take place, and local schools donate holiday wreaths that are sold at the Holiday Classic in a silent auction setting. Proceeds go to the Empty Stocking Fund.

The public is invited and admission is free for the day. Call ahead if you want to reserve a holiday meal.
