Mr. and Mrs. Roy B. Floyd Jr. are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tania Michèle Floyd, of Lawrenceville to Scott Douglas Johnston of Douglasville.  

The bride elect is the maternal granddaughter of Mrs. Ruth Canter of Asheville, N.C. and the late Mr. Harry J. Canter. She is the paternal granddaughter of the late Mr. Roy B. Floyd Jr. and the late Ms. Opal Floyd of Rincon. She is a graduate of Effingham County High School and Georgia Southern University. She is currently employed by the United States Secret Service.  

The groom elect is the son of Ms. Easter Johnston of Ducktown, Tenn. and the late Mr. Bob E. Johnston of Valdosta. He is the maternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Talley of Ducktown, Tenn. He is the paternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Trent Johnston of Tifton. He is a graduate of Douglas County High School and is currently employed by Petroleum Transport Company.

The couple plans a May wedding in Auburn.
