The United Way of Effingham County made a surprise delivery to Rincon Elementary School teacher Kimberly Tucker.

With balloons — and a big prize — in hand, United Way representatives strolled into a staff meeting at RES to present Tucker with a $500 Levy Jewelers gift certificate. Tucker won a weekly prize drawing in conjunction with the United Way’s fundraising campaign.

Remarkably, it was the second straight year Tucker took home a big prize from a United Way drawing, after she won a four-burner gas grill and a $500 gift card for steaks last year.

"Again?!" exclaimed one of Tucker's colleagues when United Way Effingham Area Director Bonnie Dixon walked into the RES conference room and congratulated Tucker as the prize winner.

"Maybe I should start buying lottery tickets," Tucker joked.
