With the help of storyteller Stan Clardy, the Camp Davis Sons of Confederate Veterans held their annual Lee-Jackson banquet Saturday night at the New Ebenezer Retreat Center. January is the birth month for both Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson.

Clardy, a native of Leesburg but now a resident of Statesville, N.C., has done nearly 200 shows of “Soldiers in Gray,” depicting the life of a Confederate soldier during the Civil War through song and narration. This year marks the 10th anniversary of his show, which debuted at Andersonville in 1998.

Clardy also won the grand prize in the raffle, a painting of the Augusta Powder Works.
