SEHS students attend rally in Macon

POSTED: November 7, 2008 5:00 a.m.

Fourteen students from the South Effingham High School Future Business Leaders of America Chapter attended the annual Fall Motivational Rally at the Macon Coliseum and Georgia State Fair in Macon on Sept. 25.

FBLA is a student organization that brings business and education together through leadership and career development programs. The Motivational Rally is a preview of the year’s activities and provides encouragement to members to get involved in their chapter’s activities. Over 6,700 members from all over Georgia attended this event.

The SEHS chapter submitted the environment component of the statewide PEACH Project. A few members invented and designed a “Smart Sink” that is environmentally beneficial. The Rally has sparked interest in the chapter’s members and they have planned many events to get members involved in their school and community.
