Spatial Engineering chief to speak at Chamber breakfast

POSTED: November 28, 2008 5:00 a.m.

Richard Truluck, president of Spatial Engineering, will discuss his firm’s role, mission and community impact at the next Effingham Chamber Membership Breakfast slated for Wednesday.

The event will be held at 7:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church Rincon (Memorial Chapel), Richland Ave., in Rincon.
Spatial Engineering officially started business in July 2001, and specializes in developing spatial data systems and geospatial solutions. Its mission pushes the limits of current technologies used by commercial and governmental clients around the world.

Its applications are endless and can be interconnected to a myriad of communications tools for personal, commercial and government use. Whether it’s mapping a trip, planning a community or monitoring our country’s borders, geospatial engineering is a reality and a rapidly growing science.

Throughout its existence, the firm has enjoyed a steady growth and now employs 21 people in Rincon and Atlanta.

Truluck expects this trend to continue and for his firm to become a key high tech employer for Effingham County and the Coastal Georgia region. According to Truluck, Spatial Engineering has the capability of growing exponentially in the next five to 10 years.

Some of the firm’s clients include city and county governments, including Effingham, Bryan and Chatham counties, the cities of Richmond Hill and Minneapolis, and the Department of Defense. Because of its unique offerings, Spatial Engineering is known throughout the world.

“We feel this meeting will be informative and exciting.” Michael Lee (Citizens Bank of Effingham) Chamber president, said. Reservations are $12 and tables of six are available. Call the Chamber at 754-3301.
