POSTED: November 26, 2009 11:31 a.m.

The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Eggs and Issues Breakfast, on Dec 3. The event will be held in the Social Hall of Springfield United Methodist Church, 210 Cleveland St., Springfield at 7:30 a.m.

State Sen. Jack Hill and state Reps. Jon Burns and Ann Purcell will take part in a panel discussion.

The Chamber’s Governmental Affairs committee has prepared a list of issues for the elected officials involving funding for transportation, education, health care, support for economic development and how the 2010 session of the Georgia General Assembly could affect our community.

“We expect a record turnout for this event,” Chamber President Alice DeForest said. “Last year we had over 150 attendees at the Eggs and Issues Breakfast. We expect a record turnout again on Dec. 3.”

Attendees also will be invited to submit their written questions to the program’s moderator, who will direct them to the panel.

Reservations to the breakfast are $12. RSVP by calling the Chamber at 754-3301 or at www.EffinghamCounty.com.
