Two Ebenezer Middle School students received their awards for artwork in the Scholastic Art Awards.

Kelsey Wilson and Samantha Potter brought home awards for their work. Wilson took home a gold award and Potter took a silver.

Not present for the awards ceremony were Steven Capps, winning a silver, Joshua Frost, winning a gold, and Jayde Haas, taking a silver. These Scholastic Art Awards winners won at the state level and Wilson and the others who received gold awards now go to nationals. The awards were presented by Cheryl Goldsledger, director of the Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design at Georgia State University in Atlanta.

The girls’ art teacher at Ebenezer Middle, Marsha Lott, was on hand to watch her students accept their awards.
