The school had 186 students make the dean’s honor/merit list, the largest such number in school history.

According to Dr. Tim Goodman, EGC’s vice president for academic affairs, students maintaining a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on 15 or more hours of course work during the semester are placed on the dean’s list, while students taking a course load of at least 12 but less than 15 hours with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are named to the dean’s merit list.

A fully accredited two-year college of the University System of Georgia, the main campus in Swainsboro and the satellite location in Statesboro  serve Emanuel, Bulloch, and counties throughout east central Georgia.

Over 2,700 traditional and non-traditional students attend East Georgia College.
