Mrs. Bertha (Pinkney) Gaines was born March 21, 1906, to Henry and Lillian Pinkney. She is one of 14 children of which 12 have preceded her in death. The mother of 10 children of which seven have preceded her in death, Ms. Gaines lives in Clyo with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Garvin Jr. She was married to a World War II veteran, Mr. Frank Gaines, who also preceded her in death. ...

We are celebrating the 90th birthday of Benjamin Franklin Eason Sr. on April 15. He has eight children and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Sadie Usher Shearouse celebrated her 100th birthday on Dec. 19, 2012. Many friends and family attended the party given in her honor on Dec. 21. Mrs. Clifford Jackson became 100 years old Nov. 18 and was honored with a celebration Nov. 19 at the home of a sister, Bessie Studier. Dozens of friends and family attended to offer their best wishes and enjoy lunch and birthday cake with her.
