GSU president lays out bold plans for school’s future

If it takes bake sales, doughnut sales and even naming rights to a restroom, Dr. Brooks Keel is willing to explore it, he told the Effingham Eagle Club with a wry smile.

Dr. Keel, the president of Georgia Southern University, delved into the major fundraising campaign the school will undertake.

“I think there is an incredible future ahead of us at Georgia Southern,” he said. “Where we are now is great, but I think we have the opportunity to be something truly, truly special in this country.”
