Fugitive Ronnie Williams was captured Thursday evening by United States Marshals in Cobb County.
A manhunt had been on since Aug. 14, when Williams led deputies on a chase in a stolen vehicle in Effingham County. During the pursuit, Williams pointed a gun at a deputy and attempted to fire it, according to the Effingham County Sheriff's Office.
Williams faces numerous charges including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He also had outstanding warrants for selling cocaine.
Williams has an extensive criminal history and is a convicted felon.
He is currently being held at the Cobb County Jail and will be extradited back to Effingham County to face his charges.
