Garden City man accused of child molestation

A Garden City man is in the Effingham County Jail, facing several charges including child molestation following an investigation conducted by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.


Dusty Dan Hamilton, 27, of Garden City, was taken into custody late Tuesday night at his residence on Salt Creek Road by Effingham County Sheriff’s deputies. According to the ECSO, the investigation revealed that Hamilton had been molesting children of the women he had been dating since 2008. The victim’s ages ranged from 8 to 14.


Hamilton has been charged with three counts of child molestation, two counts of sexual battery, and statutory rape.
