Robbery suspect Travis Brown arrested

Robbery suspect Travis Brown was arrested Monday night by Effingham County Sheriff's deputies and Rincon Police.

Brown, 25, of Clyo, was located in an attic of an apartment at Willowpeg Village apartments in Rincon. A woman also was arrested for obstruction and knowingly hiding a wanted criminal.

Brown was wanted by Rincon Police for robbery and also is awaiting trial on two burglaries in Effingham County. One of the burglaries was a commercial burglary in which firearms were taken. He is being held in the Effingham County Jail.


He was wanted for robbery and obstruction of a law enforcement officer following a robbery he allegedly committed Friday night at the Red Gate Mobile Home Park in Rincon. Rincon Police secured a warrant on Brown on Monday.
