A Rincon man was killed earlier today in a motorcycle accident.
According to Effingham County Sheriff’s Office reports, Norman Haley Davis, 32, was traveling southbound on Old River Road. Witnesses told deputies that Davis was traveling at a high rate of speed and attempted to pass a Honda Pilot in a no-passing zone.
The driver of the Honda then attempted to turn left into Stonegate subdivision. Davis hit the vehicle, according to reports, and the collision threw him into the subdivision’s entrance sign.
