Family expresses gratitude for the community support

POSTED: March 22, 2012 10:20 p.m.

We are writing to express our deepest thoughts and appreciation for all of the expressions of love shown towards the Warner family during the loss of their loved one, Vernon L. Warner. We would like to thank each and every one of you that donated clothing items, gift cards, food, flowers, monetary donations and anything that aided us during our loss. Your presence and thoughtfulness were not taken lightly and we will forever be reminded and appreciative for your various acts of benevolence shown towards us.

We were honored to feel the love and compassion of a community such as Effingham when tragedy struck. It really shows that this is a community that takes care of home when a need is present. We would also like to send special thanks to the ILA 2046 Savannah; La Dee Da Boutique, Effingham County Board of Education with special note to Rincon Elementary School, Smalls Funeral Home, St. Mark Baptist Church, Taylor Chapel Church, Overcoming By Faith Ministries, 21 Short-Stop Catering, American Red Cross, First Effingham Bank, Effingham, Chatham and all surrounding counties.

Words cannot express how grateful we are to have such a loving community to depend on. We appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers and pray that God will continue to bless and keep each of you.

Lovingly submitted in memory of Vernon L. Warner,

Ms. Carolyn Warner and family
