Barrow to host job fair at Savannah Civic Center

POSTED: August 19, 2011 1:02 p.m.

U.S. Rep. John Barrow (D-Savannah) is hosting a local job fair Aug. 24 in Savannah to pair 12th District job seekers with local employers looking to hire.

“Far too many folks are still out of work, which is why job creation has got to be priority number one for our country,” Barrow said. “I hope folks will stop by and meet with some local businesses that are looking to hire, or attend some of the workshops we’re setting up to learn tips and tricks for landing the right job.”

The job fair will be held at the Savannah Civic Center from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

For a full list of participating employers and scheduled workshops, visit Barrow’s Web site www.barrow.house.gov and click on the Issue Spotlight section of the homepage.
