The Effingham Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Thursday morning for one of its newest members, Elements Salon & Color Studio, at 420 N. Columbia Ave. in Rincon. The salon is located inside HJ Healing Hands.

Chamber Ambassadors were on hand to welcome Elements to the county.

Tina Hillier-Steinwender is owner/operator of Elements Salon & Color Studio in Rincon. She is a native of Wichita, Kan., and a former salon owner with over 10 years of experience in the hair industry. She started her career by doing eight months extensive training with the world renowned stylist/salon owner and educator Eric Fisher. After moving to Georgia five years ago, she became an American Board Certified Hair Colorist and to this day strives to educate her clients on hair color and maintaining the health of their hair.

A Board Certified Haircolorist is an individual who has passed a stringent eight-hour test covering the basics of haircoloring up to the corrective color issues. After three-to-four months of study the Board Certified Haircolorist will be able to perform any haircolor service based on the clients’ natural color or “applied” color.
