Audience members opposing a rezoning cheered as the Effingham County Planning Board recommended denying the Effingham Industrial Development Authority’s request for more than 2,400 acres. The vote, unanimous among the present board members, recommends the Effingham County commissioners do not grant an industrial zoning to the Research Forest Tract.
