Boyd joins Effingham Farm Bureau

Carter Boyd has joined the Effingham County Farm Bureau team as the agency manager, Effingham County Farm Bureau President Stuart Exley announced.


“We’re very excited to have Carter join our team. He is coming to us from Evans County Farm Bureau where he has been an insurance agent since 2007,” Exley said. “Carter is a welcome addition to our existing staff and will serve our members well leading our insurance team as our agency manager.”


Effective March 1, Boyd assumes duties as manager of the insurance and banking services that Effingham County Farm Bureau offers. He and insurance agents Kirk Rahn and Jonathan Hathaway offer a complete line of insurance products from the Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company and through its brokerage department. Life insurance products, tax-deferred annuities, and Long Term Care insurance are available through the Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company. The Effingham County Farm Bureau also offers banking services such as car and equipment loans, credit cards and deposit accounts through the Farm Bureau Bank.


A native of Claxton, Boyd has lived in Southeast Georgia all his life. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and is active in the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation.  He is also a member of Pittman Park United Methodist Church.


Boyd, Hathaway and Rahn may be reached at the Effingham County Farm Bureau office at 754-3713. Kelli Hesling is the office manger and Cheryl Tyre is the secretary.


Founded in 1937, the Georgia Farm Bureau Federation is the state’s largest general farm organization. Its volunteer members actively participate in local, district and state activities that promote agriculture awareness to their non-farming neighbors.  The organization offers its members numerous member benefits, including insurance and financial services such as vehicle and equipment loans, IRAs and credit cards.
