YMCA, Spine & Sport announce partnership

POSTED: June 2, 2011 6:37 p.m.

The YMCA of Coastal Georgia will be partnering with local Physical Therapy Company Spine & Sport to offer their members free injury assessments on site.  The partnership gives an added value to the members of the YMCA in the case they have an injury or pain that they need to see someone about.

“We are very excited to be partnering with the folks at Spine & Sport and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship,” said Bucky Johnson, vice president of operations for the YMCA. “I know our members will be pleased.”

Dr. Jacques Beauchamp, Co-Founder and President of Spine & Sport has worked with the YMCA providing injury assessments before.

“Anytime you are able to help a person attain his/her health goals, it is very rewarding,” Dr. Beauchamp said. “Oftentimes, when a person is getting back into exercise there can be bumps in the road, whether a tweak here or pain there.  The purpose of this service is simply to help people understand the problem and what they need to quickly get back to normal.”

The YMCA of Coastal Georgia has nine locations in and around Savannah, the Habersham Branch, Islands, McIntosh County, Southside, West Chatham, Effingham, Liberty County, Richmond Hill, and Tybee Island.  For more information on the YMCA visit www.ymcaofcoastalga.org.

Spine & Sport has five locations in and around Savannah, Downtown, Whitemarsh Island, Rincon, Richmond Hill and Hinesville. For more information about Spine & Sport visit www.spinesport.org
