CASA volunteers sworn in

Ten new CASA volunteers for the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit were sworn in recently.

Chief Judge William Woodrum swears in new CASA volunteers for the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit. Pictured with Lainie Jenkins, director, are: Shaquita Jones, Brenda Scott, Nancy Finley, Erica Williams, Brigit Kimbrough, Karen Cote, Carina Brannen, Ashleigh Barefield and Mary Bickerton. Also sworn in but not pictured is Eboni Joseph. After completing training,  a Court Appointed Special Advocate serves children who have been abused or neglected by speaking up for their best interests in court. New training classes will begin at the end of January. To find out how to become an advocate, contact: joincasa@gmail.com.
