Sunrise Rotary greets district governor, welcomes newest member

Rotary District Governor Bob Griggers and his wife Brenda recently visited the Effingham Sunrise Rotary Club. Griggers emphasized Rotary’s mission of eradicating polio, promoting growth and the overall motto of “service above self.”

Rotary District Governor Bob Griggers and his wife Brenda visited the Effingham Sunrise Rotary on Sept. 10. Driggers started Bob’s Auto Salvage, Inc., in Byron.

Semi-retired today, his main focus is community service work. He emphasized Rotary’s mission of eradicating polio, promoting growth and the overall motto of "service above self."

Also at the meeitng, the Sunrise Rotary Club welcomed its newest member, Royce Norton from Jedson Engineering. Norton is originally from Effingham County.

Effingham Sunrise Rotary meets every Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. at Guyton Christian Church in Historic Guyton. For more information about the club, contact Chris Snider at (912) 660-2911.
