The public is invited to a fun-filled day at the farm with Madrac Farms Pumpkin Patch — billed as the only true pumpkin patch in Effingham County. They also grow the Orange Bulldog pumpkin, a new variety of pumpkin developed by the University of Georgia to grow in Georgia’s hot and humid summer climate.

On top of getting to pick your own pumpkin growing straight on the vine, you can travel through a kiddie corn maze, take a hay ride, play in the hay castle, and sling a rotten tomato with high-powered sling shots. Madrac Farms’ animals will be there for the kids to play with too.

Madrac Farms are open every Saturday in October from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

Group rates and special tours are available during the week.
