The annual Effingham County American Cancer Society memorial and honor service will be held Nov. 11 at 2:30 p.m. at the Effingham County Board of Education Auditorium, 405 N. Ash St. in Springfield. The public is invited to attend.

Twelve new plaques will be dedicated for display on the Memorial Board in Effingham Hospital. Plaques come from donations as memorial or honor gifts.

The following people will be rememberd during the service: Herbert T. Bruner, Connie Burns (faithful volunteer), Warren Hinely, Lynn S. Jaudon, N. Eugene Kieffer, Nancy Carolyn H. King, Coach Jim Long, Robbie Moore, Edna W. Morgan, Arnold Lee Saxon, Delmar Swindell and George E. Youngblood.
