HomeTown Health honors Kicklighter

Beverly Kicklighter, business office manager at Effingham Health System, was named business office manager of the year by Home Town Health, LLC. 

Also, HomeTown Health University and HomeTown Health, LLC recognized Effingham Health System as one of nine recipients of the 2012 Best Educated Business Office awards at the 2012 Annual Conference at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain.

From among 5,000 online students at

www.hthu.net, Effingham Health System received this award for their commitment to education through HomeTown Health University, and their completion rate for PFS/Business Office Certifications in 2012.  In order to receive this award, facilities must have a minimum rate of 100 percent certification through HTHU.

The business office staff at Effingham, having an enrollment of 25 students, completed 39 certifications for a certification rate of 156 percent.

The certification courses require staff to complete online education hours related to patient access, billing and financial counseling services and skills for their positions in the Effingham Health System business office.
