Springfield Garden Club announces outdoor decorations winners

The Springfield Garden Club has announced the winners in its annual outdoor Christmas decorations contest.


Derrell Banks won for collectors display, and James Sapp won for Christmas spectacular.


Winners in other categories were as follows:


Overall traditional — Bill Exley, first; Craig Armstrong, second; Bobby Jackson, third.


Overall creative — Teresa Sheppard, first; Jamey Stancell, second; Ernest Nease, third; Tonya Jacques, fourth.


Overall fantasy — Sheryl Winner, first; Heather Riggs, second; Sheri Gonsalves, third, Christy Schmidt, fourth.


Overall Christmas theme — Michael Gerald, first; Dolly Fulghum, second; Dale Boyles, third; Murray Kight, fourth.


Children’s theme — Robert Hodges, first; Carson Shearouse, second; Dennis Webb, third; Latrelle Iyou, fourth.


Religious — James Simmons, first; LeRoy Lee, second.


Doors — Cynthia Brogdon, first; Tommy Exley, second; Mrs. Ralph Davis, third.


Windows — Terrell Webb, first; Tim Couey, second; Max Neidlinger, third.
