Effingham Chamber of Commerce members and staff and community volunteers were busy in the kitchen Thursday afternoon, making more than 300 loaves of raisin bread.

Local leaders will give the sweet treats, made from an old Salzburger recipe, to state legislators and constitutional officers next week at Effingham Day at the Capitol.
