Peterson graduates from basic training

Air Force Airman Brandon L. Peterson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.


Peterson earned distinction as an honor graduate.


He is the son of Daryl Peterson of Gibsonton, Fla., and Angela Rush of Bloomingdale.


Peterson is a 2010 graduate of Earl Lennard High School in Ruskin, Fla.


He completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.


Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
