The Effingham County Hussars Chapter 2285 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy hosted a Christmas tea at Jerusalem Lutheran Church on Dec. 8 to honor confederate mothers and grandmothers.

The anniversary of the War Between the States, 1861-65, is being recognized nationally.
