Fred Blitch, chairman of the Ogeechee River Soil and Water Conservation District, made a special presentation to the family of the late George Allen at the district’s conservationist of the year banquet.

Allen was commended for his dedication, conservation practices and years of service as a district supervisor from 1977-99.
