Under the direction of Scoutmaster Steve Hill, scouts from Boy Scout Troop 165 of Rincon canvassed neighborhoods, friends and family and asked for donations, collecting 397 pounds of food for Manna House.
The troop meets on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. at Rincon Recreation Center.
Manna House is located at 1210 Patriot Dr. (across from the YMCA) in Rincon. Food pantry and public thrift store hours are Monday noon-3 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m.-3 p.m. For more information or to make a donation to Manna House, call Lisa Bush at 665-1985 or 826-2037.
