The Effingham Stingrays compiled 14 first-place finishes in the YMCA regional swim meet, hosted Saturday by the Effingham YMCA.

The Stingrays also posted 14 seconds, 14 thirds, 16 fourths, eight fifth-place finishes and seven sixth-place finishes.

The West Chatham YMCA swim team, the Otters, posted 29 firsts and 21 seconds. They also had 20 third-place finishes, nine fourths, 14 fifth-place finishes and seven sixth-place finishes.

The Islands Tsunami had six firsts, seven seconds, six thirds, six fourths, four fifths and eight sixth-place finishes. The Habersham Hurricanes posted one first, three seconds, four thirds and a fifth- and sixth-place finish each. The Liberty Pirates had 15 firsts, seven seconds, three thirds, two fourths and one fifth- and sixth-place finish each.
