ECRP honored

The Georgia Recreation and Parks Association 1st District held its annual awards banquet in Midville. Among those in attendance receiving awards were the Effingham Recreation and Parks department and its staff.

Craig Johnson, a volunteer for the department, was presented with the Volunteer of the Year award by ECRP.

Jeffrey Lonon, athletic coordinator, was presented with the Leadership Award for being instrumental in creating, starting, and/or supervising programs that benefited a community and brought praise to the department.

Clarence Morgan, ECRP director, was presented with his 45-year Service Award for service and dedication to Effingham and the recreation profession.
