Close to 400 students participated in the Guyton Elementary School art show. Their artwork was framed and displayed in the lunchroom that was transformed into an art gallery. 

The hundreds of visitors that came saw the school full of beautiful art, a Claude Monet traveling museum exhibit, art show picture movie, snacks, beverages, raffles, entertainment and activities for parents and children -­such as making sand art and a collage station. 

All proceeds went directly to the GES art program.

Art works included:  kindergarten - pop art piece inspired by artist Jim Dine; first grade - still life piece inspired by Vincent van Gogh; second grade - Impressionist piece inspired by Claude Monet; third grade - seascape inspired by Winslow Homer; fourth grade - landscape inspired by Vincent van Gogh; fifth grade - birch tree winter landscape inspired by artist Jim Stallings.
