Students from Madame Granzow’s French classes at South Effingham High School participated in the National French Exam given in March. Two students placed nationally and 18 students placed in the top 10 in the state in French I.

This year, 985 students in Georgia and 21,192 in the nation took the French I test. Cathy Tseng placed first in Georgia and fourth in the nation in her category and Alex Granzow placed eighth in Georgia and 10th in the nation against native speakers. In French 2, Alex Westerfield placed 11th in Georgia and 22nd in the nation. Morgan Moore was second in Georgia and 11th nationwide, Nicholas Battista and Nichole Schultz were each third in Georgia, Adam King and Matheson Price were each fourth in Georgia and Hannah Osborne was fifth in Georgia.
