4-H is full of many types of competitive events, ranging from horse riding, photography, shooting sports, livestock, performing arts, essays, project achievement presentations, and the list goes on and on. However, most recently, Effingham 4-H’ers competed in a cupcake competition at the Effingham County Extension Office in Springfield.

Unlimited amounts of sprinkles and icings of all colors were creatively placed on top of each cupcake. Themes ranging from 4-H’s  green cloverleafs, to a patriotic red, white, and blue flag were a few of the 4-H’ers’ inspiring ideas. Designs were well thought out, as each youngster competed for the top three spots. Most importantly, fun was shared by all, and cupcakes were tasty and delicious.
