Orchestra awards scholarships

The Effingham Community Orchestra awarded its second annual academic scholarships on July 8. The 2012 recipients are Charles Patterson, Jonathan Rud and Scott Snell.

To be eligible to apply for the annual academic scholarship, an individual must be a member in good standing of the Effingham Community Orchestra for a minimum of two straight years.

The orchestra is accepting musicians. For information about orchestra membership, call 826-5300 ext. 25, visit the Web site www.effinghamcommunityorchestra.org or email effinghamcommunityorchestra@windstream.net.
