UGa awards CAES scholarship to Sapp

ATHENS — Ashley Elizabeth Sapp has been selected to receive the Alumni Association Scholarship awarded by the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences for the 2012-13 academic year. Each year the college awards scholarships to students totaling more than $100,000.


Sapp is a freshman at UGA majoring in animal science. She is the daughter of Richie Sapp of Meldrim and Sheryl Sapp of Bloomingdale.


The CAES Alumni Association awards scholarships to deserving students who have been accepted by the University of Georgia for study in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Selection is based on the student’s scholastic achievement, leadership ability, and extracurricular involvement as they pertain to agricultural- or environmental-related areas. Sapp is one of five students to receive the 2012-2013 award.
