Miss Diamond 2012 will be crowned on Saturday at Effingham County High School. The contestants include girls from ECHS and South Effingham High School.

The pageant is a tribute to the late Logan Shelton, who was an ECHS baseball player. The pageant starts at 7:30 and there will be great entertainment in addition to beautiful contestants.

In honor of Shelton’s jersey number, there is no number six contestant. The girls vote on a Logan Shelton award in lieu of the traditional Miss Congeniality award.

This year's contestants are Abi Johnson, Caitlyn Fears, Shatavia McKine, Kiley Ward (Miss Diamond 2011), Crista Licausi, Bayleah Duclos, Adeline Piotrowski, Justina Hathaway, Denisha Brickhouse, Madyson Casey, Hannah Boyd, Lauren Morgan and Megan Anslie Johnson.
