ECHS drumline plays in headline concert

The Effingham County High School Rebel Regiment drumline

The Effingham County High School Rebel Regiment drumline was one of 17 groups across the state invited to perform the headline concert at the Georgia Music Educators Association In-Service Conference this past weekend in Savannah.

Now in its 75thyear, the GMEA conference features elite performing groups from around the state of all levels, professional learning opportunities for educators and music industry vendors. The conference is attended by music educators, professional musicians and music industry members from throughout Georgia and the southeastern United States. 

The ECHS drumline has received superior ratings at every event they have competed in over the last four years, including several best-in-class finishes and best overall finishes.

The drumline is led by ECHS band director Matthew Leff, percussion instructor Duane Borba and captains Robert Sims, Brandyn Johnson and Shanna Robinson.

Rebel Regiment drumline members are:

Snare Drum

Seniors – Robert Sims, Kayli Bozeman 12 and Tiffani Ertzberger; junior – Nathan Douglas; freshman – Cameron Henn.

Tenor Drum

Seniors – Brandyn Johnson and Kodi Wallis. 

Bass Drum

Junior – Ryan Lancaster; sophomores – Josh LaFlemme and Marcus Brunson; freshman – Raheem Morris.

Front Ensemble/Cymbals

Senior – Matthew Crocker; juniors – Shanna Robinson, Josh Stone and Amanda Johnson; sophomore – Alyssa Folker; freshmen – Ashley Sanders, Kayla Brown, Dylan Brown, Alex Nesbit and Dimitri Johnson.
